I quite like their Pho cups.
You can get an authentic banh mi for a lot less in places like Darra in Brisbane or Girrawheen in Perth, which both have a strong Vietnamese population.
They do go alright in winter, with chilli. But per above, generally much better value going with the local Vietnamese restaurant/food court store.
The Carlton location (at Lygon Street) is part of Fabio Angelé’s Brunetti Classico, along with the airport locations, which will each continue to offer the menus and products people know and love.
Yuri Angele’s half of the business includes Flinders Lane, a cafe within Myer’s CBD store and an outpost in Singapore. Named Brunetti Oro, it appears that big changes could be on the horizon for this part of the Brunetti empire.
McDonald’s are doing their “Maccas Monopoly” again - starting tomorrow (Wednesday).
Eat responsibly
I’m a monopoly fan (the board game) but surely they could try something different one of these years.
More Small Fries tickets and chance cards. I never get anything good. I remember back in High School when people were literally trading those Instant Win vouchers since the Macca’s was on the corner of Argyle Street and Robertson Road which was a short walk from the High School. (Both part of the Illawarra Highway)
Plus people used to just toss Monopoly tickets on the ground if they are either Chance cards or Property tickets.
The documentary about the Maccas Monopoly scandal in the US (McMillions) is recommended viewing.
Wasn’t there also a scandal related to a “McNopoly” competition here in Australia during the Late 1990s? Something about restaurants reusing competition material from the previous year…I think.
The Block called, they want their sponsor back.
I recall they did Scrabble one year, going back a while now
You are right!
I enjoy Hungry Jacks’ UNO competitions.
Delivery?
You think you have it bad, my nearest Red Rooster is either in Shellharbour, Kiama, Nowra or Campbelltown/Camden around an hour’s drive away.
There’s also two of them in Goulburn, one in the centre & another across the road from the Big Merino.
Red Rooster have their own delivery drivers if you order through their website.
The chicken is good but seems over priced.
They did one with dinosaurs for one year around the late 90s.
But yeah, they’ve been doing Monopoly for 20+ years.
