Hard to do with ice in the cup though.

I like the style posted by mubd above - both Costco and Hungry Jacks seem to have adopted them. Paper straws are terrible if you take more than five minutes to finish your drink.

The ice doesn’t bother me - though you need to take the lid off carefully and sip the first bit.

I’m most interested in seeing how Bubble Tea shops circumvent any single use plastic related legislation - you’d need something stronger than a paper straw.

Maybe straws made from carton paper or similar material?

Especially in a Frozen coke or other Slushie

The $15 million deal will see Wahlburgers opening in 15 locations inside or next to United Cinemas across Australia, the first of which will be at Sydney’s Circular Quay.
Most United Cinemas are located in NSW, although it can also be found in Craigieburn in Melbourne’s outer north, Rockingham in WA and Indooroopilly in Brisbane’s south west.

I really don’t see the point in ditching plastic straws, it’s so token when so much crap everywhere else is so much worse.

I went to Wahlburgers in Vegas. Not bad. Interesting concept partnering with the cinemas.

A token gesture to the detriment of straw users the world over.

There is plastic in the packaging of near everything you buy at the supermarket, including the stickers/labels on fresh fruit. Coles and Woolworths could remove those stickers. If a sticker is not required on a banana, why is there a sticker on a lemon? Just get rid of them.

What a bizarre deal.

Burger King has rebranded.
It’s a slightly updated version of their old logo and it doesn’t perfectly match Hungry Jack’s

Makes you wonder if HJs will refresh now that BK is back to a very similar logo.

One can only hope. The HJs logo is horribly outdated. It’s a shame BK has reverted to it.

I always wanted HJ’s to change to the new BK logo, but given all they did to them back in the day, I can perhaps see why they didn’t.

I really love the retro look. And what a brilliant video. Amazing rebrand.

The Hungry Jack’s logo looks better with yellow buns though. Strange that Burger King went with the orange buns when that version of the logo was only ever used between 1994 and 1998. They’ve had the yellow buns logos for much longer 1969-1994 and 1998-2020.

Had another go at the McRib yesterday, why do they bother?

Too much sauce, not enough meat or salad.

Here’s an idea, a meat AND chicken burger. How good would that be?

In 2011 Burger King Japan had a beef, chicken and bacon burger.

The yellow is gaudy, the new BK one is a modern take on a classic look. Pizza Hut in the US also reverted to their 80s era logo, partly due to the popularity of its inclusion in 80s retro stuff like Stranger Things.

i still don’t get this trend of going back to an older logo - i liked the 2000 BK logo more than this one

And orange is not? :confounded:
