Family Food Fight

Hope both this and Bride and Prejudice flop badly.

Here’s some indication as to why the launch flopped.

Probably caused some drop off across the 90 minutes of the show, but it looks like a lot of people didn’t even give it a chance. What was the reason for that? Whatever the cause, doesn’t look good for the next few weeks for Nine.

See my post above. Viewers don’t like a copycat.

Good news is that bad TV usually makes for a good laugh on Gogglebox.

I seem to recall the lowest number for FFF last year was in the 300k?

One episode got 431,000; most were over 500k

In what can only be described as a way to try and turn around the failing Family Food Fight, Ch9 have really upped the drama in the promos and gone to a red/black colour for all show content across broadcast and online.

Let me guess, Nine have also changed the voiceover guy used for the promos from (IIRC) Paul Pittioni to Steve “The biggest television event of the year that will BLOW. YOUR. MIND!” Britten with the change in promotional tactic?

I have seen bits of a couple of episodes of this show and it actually feels like both MKR and Masterchef in one show. The couples side of things makes it MKR but the format, studio and challenges are basically a rip off of Masterchef. They had a relay thing tonight like they’ve had in team challenges on Masterchef and from the promos it looks like a pressure test tomorrow. Geez. How unoriginal. No wonder its a flop.

Yet by the looks of things it’s coming back next year. Nine are determined to make it a hit.

Nothing is set in stone, if it hasn’t worked the second time I doubt they’ll be rushing to produce a third season.

They’ll be working on a replacement show or shows to replace it very soon i’d imagine.

Renamed next year to Yummy Tummies :stuck_out_tongue: becasue Nine are so original.

Shhh don’t give them ideas. Knowing Nine they might actually do something like that (or worse).

Without taking it too far into mock schedules, Love Island should air right off Ninja and Block can air at around this time. Be good to provide the audience with some decent rating show other than Family Food Flop.

DOA

Less nights will probably mean it shifts the last couple of weeks into the non-ratings period… where it belongs. This show should have only been summer filler in the first place.

I want to like this show. I think they have the casting completely wrong this year. And I think it was better with the families of 4. Matt shouldn’t host either. He should judge. But they need a more dynamic host.
