The show is good tonight, but it feels flat without an actual studio audience.

Still very surprised they went to the effort of a brand new set just for these one off specials, considering the new one they built in Sydney when the show moved there.
I’d say they would have to be planning to introduce some more specials to justify the cost of doing this.
I would say most of the previous set elements were destroyed, hence why we are seeing a full new set.
It felt a little strange without an audience.

I caught the final segment of last night’s show after Plate of Origin finished, and noticed two familiar faces. Femi Ogunsiji and Nicolas “Nick” Evbuomwan finished fifth on The Amazing Race Australia last year, and were part of Team Psych (psychiatric nurses) on Family Feud this year.
