Maybe in summer.
Against My Kitchen Rules grand final? Thatâs crazy. Should be on next week replacing some of Bondi Rescue repeats.
I hope you are right. And considering there is no big bash this summer, more chance of it airing then.
Pretty sure itâs just a repeat episode.
there has been only one MasterChef family feud episode, which was judges vs contestants. I am sorry but I donât reckon its a repeat.
I thought itâs a repeat from the 2017 season?
The axeman is coming.
Thank god. As fun as it was, itâs just not the way to launch into the evening programming. If B&B wasnât around then it could go in that slot perfectly, but itâs essentially too expensive to be an afternoon show.
Had a good run for a while but this is the right decision. Time to try something new.
Thatâs a shame. It may not have been rating well, but I watched it every night
Family Feud did good for them in the short term. But declined too much longer term. I donât believe it would have done any better than Project at 7.
Yea time to move on and try something new. Itâs just not eating at all. Theyâve managed the transition to the Sydney studio quite well but really it just has to go.
Ten are in a diabolical state right now. They need something drastic to shake up the whole schedule. And now with no sports they really need to go into a rebuilding phases, throw out the rule book, throw out the failed management and start all over again. It will take 4 or 5 years and then they can bid on sports again to add to a brand new mindset.
Family Feud has been a failure since day 1. Letâs not forget the simulcast that was supposed to last a week but went on and on to artificially inflate numbers. It was only a matter of time before Think Tank on ABC would overtake it so donât try another game show at 6pm.
Farewell our shit and useless servant.
This is straying into Saving Ten territory, but I think the short-term solution is to shift TENFAF into the 5:30-6:30 block (although thatâd make it TENFAFT, but Iâm sure they even TEN can afford to update the lower thirds).
Personally? I think hour long news is on the nose - keeping the Project at 6:30 allows them to capture some of that Seven/Nine mid-bulletin switch off, and again at 7:00 when the gormless A Current Affair comes on.
I think it might be worth borrowing an idea from some of the US stations: run a 90 minute news block from 5-6:30, but as three separate 30 minute bulletins. Given that Ten are going to struggle to retain viewers in that time-slot regardless of what they do - Simpsons, Family Feud, Pointless - they might as well embrace it. As discussed here plenty of times, more bulletins = a more cost-effective newsroom, and it would be an easy step towards further investment in news down the line.
Family Feud is in its fifth season. It was a demo winner for quite a while. This version lasted longer than Bertâs sad version a few years ago. They were nominated for a number of Logies for the show and the host and won Most Popular Entertainment Program in 2016.
Hardly a âfailureâ.
Such a shame as my family quite like watching this around dinner time. Could they not move it to late afternoons?
as a simulcast. All those logie nominations and wins were probably under the simulcast too.
Normally when Ten try these 6pm stunts and fail they revert back to tried-and-true Simpsons. They canât even do that anymore. What a disaster.
Family Feud is a family-friendly show that was aired at 6PM. This show has relocated from Melbourne to Sydney in late 2017 to save costs. They wanted to rate well in 2018, but suddenly it failed to fire. The All Star Family Feud edition was a huge disaster, being beaten by SBS. Despite of the Logie nomination for Family Feud, the future looks bleak. Last week, the show rated just under 300k weekly and hence, this had a huge impact on the prime time share. We donât know what will happen in June.
Still banging on about your precious Simpsons. There are other shows in Australia and the world, you know.
That relocation was complete madness. Family Feud shouldâve been axed, not relocated. More money wasted.
