The line up for the first semi final in Vienna is now complete after Portugal and Poland selected their entries.
I’m glad we’re in Semi 2 actually ![]()
Some big favourites in there - Finland, Greece, Sweden, even Croatia.
Not to mention Israel.
I have a feeling Greece is opening the semi final, it’ll still qualify but the first half is really slow tempo-ed with the exception of Sweden
Now that all of the songs have been released, Australia is at 5th place in the betting odds (although it’s very close between 4th-7th).
One advantage Delta has in terms of gaining more momentum is that we haven’t seen any staging or live performance of the song yet. 3 of the songs ahead of her gained huge buzz after their live performances in national finals, so how Eclipse sounds live could be the biggest factor in where we ultimately rank against the rest.
Yes i expected her to drop a bit more by now and especially come pre parties with everyones performances, but she has been announced for Norway’s pre party in 2 weeks, so we will see how that goes down as people get their first live taste.
Delta will join a dozen of this year’s contestants at Nordic Eurovision Party in Oslo on March 21.
Kate Miller-Heidke finished 9th in Eurovision 2019 with Zero Gravity. I would love to see a video of this morning’s chat to hear what Kate said about Delta’s upcoming appearance.
You can stream the episode on 7+.
Go-Jo, who represented Australia last year, will be part of the interval act at the first semi final.

UPDATE 24/3
Australia is now the equal favourite with the bookies to win the jury votes, along with France.
Eurovision in Concert 2026 will be held on April 11 in the AFAS Live Arena. After the Netherlands withdrew from Eurovision in December, the organisers announced that the pre-party will still take place.
Australia creeping back up in the odds following Delta’s performances in Europe. I can’t recall us ever staying this high in the odds for such a sustained period. Perhaps Dami.
I honestly don’t understand why Finland is just so far in front though. I think it’s probably the most likely winner and deserves to be favourite, but there’s just daylight between #1 and #2. I think it’s probably a bit too much.
Speaking of Finland, the violinist has applied to the EBU to play her violin live. Apparently that’s against their policy on violins.
It’s against their policy on all instruments. They have all been pre-recorded for years now.
Unlike the old days of Eurovision when they had a live orchestra on stage. But that was when it was a real song contest.
So I guess that means Delta won’t be playing her piano live on stage in her performance?
