Does that mean we get ESPN coverage?

Yes. Comms, graphics, everything.

Who’s going to tell them it isn’t summer here

That campaign was made in January 30. Don’t see anything wrong with it.

The dead giveaway is the NFL when it’s strictly a summer sport.

Ah, apologies, only just saw it.
Weird it’s still circulating in April

It happens so rarely that it warrants a press release each occasion.

ESPN also announced the matchups selected for NBA’s final regular-season day (Monday, April 13) are Celtics-Magic and Nuggets-Spurs.

This will come the day after.

He’s a guest host?

He returned to ESPN in September, helming a weekday show on the radio network.

Not SportsCenter. I don’t get your quip about

He’s only presented SC once back in August. This is the second time.

There were press releases for both occasions.

That’s not his job though.

He was a host during an iconic period of Sportscenter, so there’s a bit of fan service in returning him to the job on occasion and they make some fanfare of it.

The timing is also important here as ESPN has just taken over operations of NFL Network, so he is officially a full-time ESPN employee again.

Yeah, I don’t have issue with the release. I’m just confused with the editorial added.

I wonder how ESPN is going to treat the NBA & NHL playoffs and having MLB during the same time period. I assume something might be Disney+ only.

NBA has released the first weekend.

Saturday (our Sunday) is easy for them as they just have 1 game, 10:30am AEST

Sunday (our Monday) will probably be more difficult as I can’t see them having NBA from 3am AEST until the final game finishing at 1:30pm - almost 11 hours.

They will also have MLB on that day too and probably NHL playoffs too

I can probably see them showing the ABC games so 3am until 8am. And then probably 1 of the NBC games.

This would 11am start time. So they might change thing around

Seems like every play-in game is on Amazon Prime this year instead of ESPN.

Correct, Amazon Prime has the exclusive rights to all 6 Play-In Tournament games under the new broadcast deal.
