The game starts at 11:30am most likely at 11:45 when they actually start. So it’s it from 12pm they will miss the first 30-50% of Q1.

Also isnt it a weird thing to be joining 30mins late to a live sports?

Keep in mind the 9am AEDT NHL games on both April 21 and 27 are ESPN productions.

With that in mind, they have every right to prioritize their own coverage over another broadcaster’s. It’s just unfortunate that they also need to balance all the contract requirements with MLB and a few other leagues.

At least it’s on linear, unlike East 8th-Pistons G1 on Monday when taped programming will air in its place for some reason.

They might have 2 games on Tuesday, according to my fetch tv, it has NBA at 10am and finishing at 2pm as Hawks at Knicks. So they will probably also have Wolves at Nuggets too. But not confirmed

It has now been changed again. NBA from 10 to 12:30pm then NHL. So it will be Hawks @ Knicks on ESPN

Disney+ has started streaming Brazilan Serie A from this morning which started in late January, looks like 2 to 3 games per match day. Never really been on TV here maybe an odd session on BeIN Sports or Setanta. Similar time to American sports so probably won’t make it to ESPN.

Concacaf Champions Cup also listed towards the end the month starting with the semi final leg 1 (MLS and Mexican teams) possible the final will make it to ESPN which airs on 30 May if time slot is free from American sports

That’s local time - in Australia it’s May 31. It’ll interfere with MLB and either NCAA men’s baseball tournament or Women’s College World Series, so will not be seen on TV.

They had one job.

After Inside the NBA ESPN was supposed to have NHL between Montreal & Tampa while ESPN 2 was supposed to have MLB Royals v Angels.

From what I see, ESPN has the Banana Ball Baseball & ESPN 2 has the Montreal v Tampa NHL.

Because that game was on a lengthy rain delay - approximately one hour long.

Still doesn’t explain why the NHL is on ESPN 2 when it was scheduled on ESPN & would have been a smooth transition from NBA to NHL. And the banana ball could of been ESPN 2

The game was actually moved up 3 hours to avoid the weather

And yet rain still hit them (ironically stopped at the original scheduled time). Can’t be more unfortunate.

AFL legends Dermott Brereton and James Hird will host the new AFL show – ESPN Footy Central – providing footy fans with a fresh take on the biggest AFL stories along with previewing the upcoming round.

‘ESPN Footy Central’ will debut on Wednesday April 29 on ESPN on Disney+ in Australia with new episodes weekly.

Has ESPN ever done an AFL Specific Show in their Australian History I don’t Think so Màybe?

With the Celtics-Sixers series dragged into the decider, ESPN will broadcast this game at 9.30am AEST on Sunday.

For Monday:

  • Magic-Pistons game 7 at 5.30am AEST if necessary
  • Lakers will play at:
    – 11.30am AEST if game 7 and both other series require game 7 as well
    – Not play if only the two other series (or no series at all) require game 7
    – 9.30am AEST in any other case

NHL does not present scenarios like this. They will release schedules whenever they want.

Today’s all 3 was shown on ESPN & ESPN 2. My fetch didn’t have the 76ers vs Celtics game and I only discovered it accidentally. Kayo did have the correct updated guide
