Is it just me or does it seem like every other weekend there’s major arterial road closures in Brisbane for some sort of cycling event, fun run, or something… It gets a bit tedious when it’s so often.
with the possible fuel shortage most people should only put enough fuel in vehicle that they need to.I’m going to do this from now on.My car hasn’t been used for a week ,I’m using public transport more often .Of course its not always convenient to use it .For example I have stuff I want to drop off to an op shop after I did a sort out of drawers and cupboards ,I’ll need to use my car for this.
Also busway closures on the inner north and south east.
And who uses the Go Between Bridge anyway - costs too much
I’ve owned more white cars than any other colour.Very boring though ,I should have bought a red one this time Yes my current car ,my Mazda CX-3 is white
Yes, my Mazda 6 is white also.. I’ve owned 6 cars over 34 years of car ownership, four of them were white! (one gold, one grey also). Only one was purchased brand new (a Ford Focus - white!).
White requires so much less cleaning though. Currently have white and it nearly always looks clean after having a couple of metallic maroon cars that look great but seemed to constantly need washing.
Yeah I’ve got a metallic maroon at the moment. Nightmare to keep looking clean. I generally give up
Would be nice if they’d used a picture of the correct series of Kona. Both Nine and The Guardian have used pictures of the distinctly different 2nd Gen SX2 Kona which is not what has been recalled. At least Car Expert got it right - Hyundai Kona Electric recalled due to fire risk | CarExpert
don’t you hate it when you’re parked in a car park next to an oversized ute that you can’t see around to see if theres any cars coming behind you, if you want to back out?I’m so thankful my car will beep and indicate on the reverse camera if theres a car coming from behind.I don’t know how I ever managed without a reverse camera ,I use it all the time now.
Currently in country WA for a week.
Have an MG HS rental car (non hybrid).
I was a bit sceptical about driving a Chinese car, but this is a pretty decent car to drive. Has good power, rides well, well equipped, very comfortable interior and very quiet.
And it’s about $8k-$10k cheaper than an equivalent Korean or Japanese car. I am now strongly doubting they’re worth the extra $$$ (except maybe for better resale value).
I wonder how it will be in 300k klms time?
I’m not sure many people keep cars for 300k kms these days, maybe 150k.
Time will tell, but I remember people saying the same thing about the earlier Korean cars, but I got 200k kms of completely trouble-free motoring in my 1995 Hyundai Excel ![]()
We got 320k out of a diesel i30, the engine was still good but the rest of it was becoming high maintenance.
They do have a 10 year, 250,000 km warranty as long as you service with MG. Servicing is a bit more expensive than with some other makes though. But you’d think spare parts should be pretty cheap.
