Wonder what name it will have in the next version
I enjoyed the less adverts/more content. Presumably this was because they didn’t have the sponsors but it make it a lot more fast paced.
Same for me. It’s not as drawn out as The Block with only one room renovated each week.
Surely it’s not replaced by Stranded on Honeymoon Island (which is also postponed to 2025)?
Ugh, we can only hope not.
Re Dream Home we know there was one team who were given the ‘villain’ edit, but from what I’ve heard the edit wasn’t too far from what actually happened on site. I guess they got their karma!
Dream Home is premiering in New Zealand on Wednesday 11 September at 7.30 Wednesday on TVNZ 1 and it will continue on Thursdays. Ironically the original NZ version originally screened on TV2 (now TVNZ 2) as Mitre 10 Dream Home from 1999-2013 makes me wonder why the new Australian remake did not end up on TVNZ 2.
C21 reports Dream Home is one of three Australian shows in Banijay’s slate at Mipcom in Cannes later this month. The other two are Headliners (ABC) and Shaun Micallef’s Origin Odyssey (SBS).
Interesting.
“Dream Home” art union in association with RSL.
$13 million property on the Gold Coast.
Chris Brown presented the advertisement.
Interesting indeed, either a coincidence or getting Chris to front it seemed like a good opportunity.
Looking at their site and the name change from RSL Art Union is a return to their former name.
We are now going back to our proud beginnings, by returning to our name in 1956, Dream Home Art Union.
BREAKING NEWS: Dream Home has been axed despite successful ratings.
If it was successful then it wouldn’t have been axed. The ratings were mediocre, at best. The cost of making the show versus the revenue it generated, doesn’t justify renewing it.
Although I liked the show, and seemed to be a better version than The Block. but the ratings weren’t just there. I understand why it has not been renewed.
Better to invest the money elsewhere
Is this breaking news?
Nah, an insider posted here months ago that it wouldn’t be back next year and wasn’t included in the upfronts. Writing was on the wall there.
Not sure what exactly the “exclusive” content was in that article, think it was all pretty widely known previously. “Click Bait” would have been more accurate.
