The BBC said last night: “ As we have previously stated, the decision on season 3 will be made after season 2 airs and any other claims are just pure speculation. The deal with Disney+ was for 26 episodes – and we still have an entire spin off, The War Between the Land and the Sea, to air. And as for the rest, we never comment on the Doctor and future storylines.”

This year’s season certainly felt stronger than last year’s, it would be a shame to see that momentum come to a halt.

Also, it’s disappointing that people are pretending that the show has been suddenly “cancelled”. Disney ordered two seasons way back, and so far we’ve gotten those two seasons.

Probably another gimmick where for 3 episodes will do something then bigenerate into what will be the doctor with “Nu Rose” going off to retire and live a life on the farm.

  2. The regeneration effect looks very different to the effect used for Flood-to-Rani only a few episodes ago, and David-to-Ncuti. The difference is intentional.

The BBC/RTD have left it intentionally ambiguous. She hasn’t been officially announced as “The Doctor”, or any character yet.
