Disney+ had 129.8 million paying customers worldwide by the end of 2021, according to Walt Disney Company’s first quarter results. The streaming service gained 11.8 million subscribers during the quarter ending January 1 this year.
Disney CEO Bob Chapek predicts Disney+ will have 230 million to 260 million subscribers by 2024.

According to today’s Herald Sun, Eddie McGuire’s JAM TV is making a new AFLW documentary for Disney+, with filming believed to be under way since last December at Adelaide, Collingwood and Western Bulldogs.
JAM TV’s most recent AFL production Show Me the Money will debut on Stan on March 10.
Wouldn’t this have been to go kayo or Foxtel instead of Disney + ?

The existing broadcast deal between the AFL and Foxtel only covers actual matches (preseason and premiership season) plus the annual national draft. Pre-season training and day to day activities at the clubs are excluded.
Isn’t this just the 45-day window at play? Not sure of the point of this tweet. Am sure they’ll be shocked when West Side Story turns up next week too.

So looks like the Marvel stuff won’t be here this month if I read that right it says
" will be moving to Disney+ starting March 16. They will be available across all other Disney+ markets later this year."
I assume that being a US market the US gets it in March and we get it at a later stage.
It is rated R18+ and has a warning before it starts.
And 9 Songs isn’t just an erect penis it is full on intercourse, not simulated.

Strange how the Defenders stuff isn’t going internationally until a later date. Netflix’s rights expired globally yesterday. Not sure why it would take longer for markets outside of the U.S to get them, especially since they can so easily be integrated into Star.
I guess it makes you question whether Disney is using the Star brand in the U.S or if the TV-MA stuff is being integrated into Disney+ without the extra branding. If they’re happening without Star, I wonder if they’ll still see it necessary for international markets. But at this point surely it’s pointless to phase out Star after being introduced such a short time ago right?
Hopefully a Daredevil renewal isn’t too far off either

Disney confirms all six series will begin streaming on the platform in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand starting March 16. The shows left their original home at Netflix on Feb. 28 after rights to the series reverted back to Disney. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D,” which ran for seven seasons on ABC, will also begin streaming March 16 on Disney Plus.
Agents of SHIELD has been up on Disney+ for a long while now, even though season 7 was added only in recent months.
