I can see the logic from a start of your night perspective. Most people watch the news at 6pm so I suppose it’ll be handy for some.
For those who want to stay with Seven and Nine it’s pretty useless.
Their shows don’t end at 8:30pm. So it’s not like you can watch Farmer Wants a Wife and then switch to the beginning of MasterChef at 8:30pm cause Farmer is still going over on 7.
Not really sure other then the starting at 6pm and sticking with 10 through the night would be the point of this channel.
I can see it causing some frustrations too, particularly for live sport, if some people inadvertently come across it not realising it’s 1 hour behind thinking it’s live.
Hopefully there’ll be a +1 bug and no “live” text on the bug etc.
Knowing 10 they’ll air this with the dirty feed of 10!
What a waste of spectrum.
The +1 not matching the rest of 10 is also annoying. Like you couldn’t design it in the 10 logo font (borrow the + and 1 from 10 News Plus) or have Barlow font.
Question. Will this be timeshifted per market or a national timeshift of 10 Sydney/Melbourne?
It’d be typical 10 to timeshift 10 Sydney or something
And while they’re at it can they rework the numbers?

Nickelodeon on 14
10SD on 15
At least we won’t have to put up with it in Bendigo, where we have 6x 4mbit/s HD feeds of 10HD, 10 Drama, 9HD, 9GEM, 7HD, and 7Mate on one multiplex for the next 8 months or so…

I doubt they will change anything. It will be the same as viewers in Perth watching Sunrise or News from the east that have LIVE bugs.
Meanwhile in WIN territory, it’s still 10-∞ from July 1 
They’ve fixed it within the last week or so.

Took their time though… mustn’t be too many at Nine eating their own dogfood.
Thank goodness. I contacted Nine about it and received a reply from 9Now. Needless to say they didn’t understand what I was talking about. And there’s no way of contacting individual Nine stations. Apart from phone calls which would be a waste of time.
I responded by explaining it again and asking them to pass on the message to the technical/engineering department. Never heard another word, but glad to hear it has been fixed.
