Yes, better than some other layouts I’ve seen on other cars. Only slight annoyance I have with it is that it only shows the RDS RT when tuned to FM, and not the PS.

Thats a bit weird. I just looked up the radio from that car and it seems to be a standard GM radio with some mods to work in DAB Markets, and on the promo material you can see the PS display on the screen, albeit in a US Version.
Wonder if a reset might fix that.
Check your settings menu. I have encountered one vehicle of different manufacturer where the PS didn’t display due to a setting within the settings menu, once changed the PS displayed. Also another vehicle only displayed PS within the dashboard display. Let us know if you have some luck.

Apologies if this has already been covered, there are a lot of posts to go through.
Why would my vehicle only display certain DAB+ logos, and not be consistent with same-network stations? For instance, TripleJ displays but not ABC Melbourne. Likewise Triple M is there but not Fox FM

Those aren’t logos coming from the broadcast itself - so I’d guess the receiver is using some combination of elements of info about the station to match up to logos included in the firmware, and the moment something like the station name and service ID changes, that link is broken so it doesn’t show a logo.
It’d probably not make sense to pull station logos from the slideshow data - as those are often used for cover art and other temporary promos, so there isn’t really anything you could pull from the actual broadcast to use there, so a manufacturer would have to rely on a third party service.

What make of vehicle is it?
If VW or a recent Toyota, I think they pull radio data from Gracenote… I had a rental Toyota Kluger when in Adelaide about a month ago, and it did this for AM and FM and probably DAB as well.
Often the station name/logo displayed would be wrong, I think it tries to guess which station based on frequency and GPS data. I didn’t like it, sadly there was no option to turn it off and revert back solely to native RDS only.

Thanks. It’s a BYD. It’s interesting too that the active station in the pic (SYN) displays on the current station section, but not in the stack.

The BYD pulls the icons in the list from the internet over the built in 4G connection, where as the image on the right is from the DAB Slideshow

It wouldn’t surprise me if some makes like Toyota are preloaded with info from Gracenote and require periodic updates either OTA via smartphone mirroring or at a scheduled service.

Whilst not DAB and a few years old now, my VW has an area where you can (via a SD card) upload the image you want for the preset..
So in Hobart I substituted Hit100.9 for and older TTT FM logo, and 7HO and so on…..
My misso has no idea whats what so just listens to Spotify….

Is that option to upload for AM, FM and DAB?
And if you don’t upload an image, what gets displayed as the preset? Just the frequency/PS name from the FM RDS/DAB info?

On AM, it just shows the XYZ kHz……on FM it will grab the RDS info (if available), if no info it will display the WXY.Z mHz….

I was going to add our local Triple M stations logo to the series……So I googled its callsign…..I would strongly recommend you don’t google 7XXX……

Despite myself I was still determined to get DAB+ to work while out in the wild. Noticed uber drivers using it and it wasn’t dropping out constantly so figured maybe it really is just something that needs a decent level investment
Got the Sangean DPR-35 for $165 which I think someone recommended above. I have to say it is MUCH better… walking around my area, no dropouts at all with antenna fully down. Sketchy inside buildings and shops etc but you could say the same for FM. I still would rather static to signal cutting in and out but this is clearly much better.
I don’t have a smartphone and am determined never to have to get one so it is a game changer to add stations like Double J, Triple J Unearthed, SBS PopAsia to my list while out of the house, with no smartphone. I am weirdly adjusting to the compression of DAB+ too, depending on which station it is. It is a baffling technology I suppose I have a love-hate relationship with where I clearly just plain love FM and AM
I suppose what I have learnt is that this is a technology that actually requires a decent investment initially whereas even the cheapest FM radio will more or less work. A cheap throwaway DAB+ radio is almost unusable
