Still called “NN” for whatever reason in Melbourne, audio quality to me is notably poorer than other 32k stations. Strange as well to use “80s, 90s and Now” as a positioner in 2024 - do they really have a 20 something year gap in music?

A very minor one - “easy music 3MP” renamed to just “3MP” - I can’t imagine they’d be trying a format shift, but weird otherwise to rename - though I suppose it bumps them up radios using an alphabetical list.

True, but it means they are not near another easy music station whish used to be knon as Easy 80s Hits but is now just Easy Hits.

It’s going to be interesting if/how stations still use decades in its music positioners going forward as 80s and 90s music get too old for FM radio - they obviously don’t like to use “noughties” or “tens / teens” to refer to recent decades.

Listening to “NN”(Priceline radio) this afternoon and they had the "Chrissie Swan Show"on at the same time as Nova.

Simon Diaz is also doing some DJing on Smooth Vintage in the afternoons

Mike Perso does drive announcing for Smooth Vintage, I haven’t heard Simon Diaz on there.

Priceline Radio “NN” has disappeared this evening in Sydney. It is a relay of NovaNation again.

I’d prefer it if they had Nova 2000s/ Noughties or Throwbacks or Nova Alternative, but it probably won’t happen.

Assuming it’s the same as Melbourne - it’s not a relay as it was previously, it’s pointing at the same audio stream as the other Nova Nation, with there now being a chunk of unused capacity there.

Maybe that’s gearing up to properly add the station, or some last minute complications?

I’ve visited Priceline pharmacies, and they’ve always played a radio station, so maybe Priceline Radio is a new thing and this was a test run. That said, recently I visited again and they were playing Smooth Fm (same owners as Nova) whereas previously they would have played other stations (e.g. Fox, Gold or KIIS, not sure which but at least two of those).

UPDATE: Priceline Radio is up and running here in Melbourne, no longer called NN.

Same in Sydney. The music is quite good for an AC station. A bit of soft pop and up tempo pop/ dance and 80s.

It fills a gap in the market for an 80s, 90s and now format.

However I’d still like to see a Nova 2000s or Alt station to complement NovaNation.

Nova’s website says that you can listen to Nova Throwbacks on DAB+ enabled devices in Melbourne.

Meanwhile, Nova Nation says that it’s available on DAB+ in Brisbane, no mention of other cities.

Currently Nova Throwbacks is not available in Melbourne while Nova Nation is, so is Nova going to change these in the future?

I would love it if Nova Throwbacks was made available on DAB in Melbourne and Sydney.

Not sure if this is new, but just after 12 and 1pm on Nova 90s (in Brisbane), I heard an announcer come on and do a TOH doing a forward promote of songs coming up. I could be wrong, but it sounded like Jamie Row.

Is this something new? I haven’t heard any announcers prior to this on that station. It probably makes sense, as in Brisbane it was the 2nd highest DAB+ station behind Smooth.

90’s Soft Pop in Brisbane at least seems to be named MMM 90’s. So now we have 2 MMM 90’s with different music.

Dear lord, why? I would have thought Canberra was more rock than country.
