Did They Really Just Play That?

Good song though

I swear Triple M is taking the piss. I flicked over to Triple M this morning to see if Triple M had changed and guess what, they were playing that new song by Shawn Mendes then I flicked over at 6.10PM tonight and they were playing that Shawn Mendes song. I can see why people are calling Triple M, Groundhog Day FM.

Bet you thought you were listening to Nova. That’s normal but every three hours.

I know 2Day has extended its playlist, but I didn’t expect to hear this

Dancing In The Dark - Bruce Springsteen.

That’s WSFM heartland there.

Isnt that normal these days? I heard 80s hits by Madonna, Michael Jackson and Duran Duran this weekend.

Yes, but those artists are more ‘pop friendly’ and probably go better with the other 90s to now stuff that 2Day plays.

Bruce Springsteen seems a bit out of place compared to those ones you’ve mentioned (to me anyway).

Really? Dancing in the Dark is very pop and arguably the poppiest hit of his career.

If they were going to play a ‘The Boss’ song, I guess it would have to be that one.

Though playing Springsteen is only one rung away from playing Cold Chisel (something I’m sure they wouldn’t do!).

Heard this one this morning as well, it was on a segment on The Beatles Abbey Road album with Kram from Spiderbait.

Was surprising to hear!

Just before 1:30 AEST MMM regionals would have heard probably for the first time since about 2005 on a shift that wasn’t graveyard The Whitlams - No Aphrodisiac. …then followed it up with your typical Rob Thomas vomit inducer.

Good tune. ARN’s 90s stations on DAB give Blow Up The Pokies an absolute flogging

A awesome song. About time they played something different from their general 30 song playlist.

Heart Of Gold - Neil Young

On Today’s Country 94.1 Central Coast.

A 1972 song that is neither “today” or “country” (considered more folk or classic rock than country).

It’s a popular song with the kids (maybe due to the TV show Glee). Went to an 18th birthday party earlier this year and they were playing it and singing along…

my girlfriend is 21 and she constantly sings this and Kiss’ “Beth” because they were featured on Glee. She has no taste (obviously)
