It was early 1999 when 2WS became a “Classic Hits” station, with its full positioning statement being “Classic Hits & The Best of Today”.
2UW was Sydney’s “Classic Hits” station in the mid-late 80s to early 90s, before it converted to FM as Mix 106.5 in April 1994.
