Given the man had won $62,222, Grant should not have offered him the deal wheel.
The deal wheel should only be reserved for a contestant who had won a low amount of prizemoney (say $10,000 or lower).

Wouldn’t it break the rules of the game though?
The Channel 7 version with it’s endgames such as Double Or Nothing, Supercase and Second Chance were certainly much better than Channel 10’s endgames such as Steal The Deal, Risk It and the Deal Wheel.
Because they repeat the show so often, it will be obvious when they dont do the wheel. They should’ve had 4/5 gimmicks from the beginning, so that way you don’t know what “offer” might be made at the end of the episode, and also, the repeats wouldnt stand out as much.
The oohing from the audience as the bank offer was coming in on tonight’s episode was very annoying.
And Grant Denyer offered him to play the Deal Wheel where the jackpot was $28,008. He kept his winnings of $10,000.
Was it fake?
Tonight was the ANZAC Day special. Two men took up the banker’s offer of $21,000 which would go to the RSL sub-branch in Hawthorn in inner east Melbourne. They declined the offer to spin the wheel.
You know… they could have… aired this on Saturday after the news? I get ratings but weird decision
Especially when there’s only a 1 in 16 chance of landing on the jackpot of $50,000. Get rid of this Deal Wheel already, it’s hardly doing anything to improve the show.
I Totally Agree with you Jack Baulch.
Next Monday’s (May 4) episode will feature Toni Lodge and Ryan Jon from The Toni and Ryan Podcast.
Podcasting superstars Toni and Ryan are on The Deal. Toni still has no idea what The Deal is or how it works…good luck Grant!
Update 3/5: Sneak peek
Toni and Ryan won $5015 for the Cancer Council.
The Deal Wheel appears to have finished as of last week
So now it’ll be obvious when a repeat has aired and the deal wheel pops up
I’d say good riddance to that!
Tonight’s episode: The contestant cleared each row out starting from the middle row, to the top row, and then back down to the bottom row.
She got down to the last 6 cases and had $75,000 and $100,000 in play. She ended up knocking out the $100,000 when she picked case 4. The contestant took a deal of $15,000 when she got down to the last 3 cases, and had $75,000 in her case.
Not gonna lie, doing that sort of strategy picking the cases makes the gameplay less interesting.
