If it did impact production and they bought in a stand in would be interesting to see if ratings moved at all. If anything bringing in Millionaire has now shown that both 10News+ and Deal are the problem with their ratings far lower than the programmes either side of them and 10 should probably looking at a new hour-long format to fill that 6pm hour.

Who would be available and suitable as a stand-in host? Rove?
Would they even bother? It’s a perfect reason to suspend production. The show isn’t rating and not worth the money spent.
We don’t even know if Grant’s injuries are that bad.
Grant posted an update a few hours ago (Monday evening) that he’s fine, and has already landed in Melbourne to film another weeks worth of DOND eps.

I Watched tonight’s game, and the 1st time they walked away with absolutely Nothing.

I also watched the show (Tuesday night). The contestant had $1,000 at the end. He then span the Wheel of Fortune thingy, and it landed on $0. Ouch. But at least they were all laughing about it.
Even Grant said something along the lines of “everyone says, I came with nothing, so anything is a win. But this is nothing. Wow”.

Tonight’s episode: the contestant got down to the last 2 cases of $20,000 and $100,000 and his final bank offer was $62,222 cause he chose case 2, because it was the case he chose when he played the Deal Or No Deal board game for the first time and it had $100,000.
He took the deal of $62,222, and had $100,000 in his case all along. However Grant Denyer wasn’t done with him as he showed the jackpot amount on the deal wheel which was $100,000! The contestant knew he only had a 1 in 16 chance of landing on the jackpot and the chances were very slim so he kept his winnings of $62,222.
What an absolute joke this deal wheel is.

Given the man had won $62,222, Grant should not have offered him the deal wheel.
The deal wheel should only be reserved for a contestant who had won a low amount of prizemoney (say $10,000 or lower).
Wouldn’t it break the rules of the game though?
The Channel 7 version with it’s endgames such as Double Or Nothing, Supercase and Second Chance were certainly much better than Channel 10’s endgames such as Steal The Deal, Risk It and the Deal Wheel.
Because they repeat the show so often, it will be obvious when they dont do the wheel. They should’ve had 4/5 gimmicks from the beginning, so that way you don’t know what “offer” might be made at the end of the episode, and also, the repeats wouldnt stand out as much.

The oohing from the audience as the bank offer was coming in on tonight’s episode was very annoying.
And Grant Denyer offered him to play the Deal Wheel where the jackpot was $28,008. He kept his winnings of $10,000.
