Deal or No Deal

Wow. Repeats of Deal, on a Tuesday?
Are the cupboards that bear, that they are padding out on the new episodes?

Could they have ran out early?

My episode where I’m up on the podium holding case 13 still hasn’t aired and is getting pushed back more and more now that Thursday night’s are repeat episodes.

Not sure how to read into this but..
10’s YouTube channel is starting to post Deal or No Deal episodes from Season 1 Episode 1.

I’d say Deal is gone

It better not be, if they axe Deal then that’s it. Hopefully at their upcoming 2026 Upfronts event they renew it for another season.

The more people push for it to be axed, the more likely it’ll probably happen, and I may need to send out a chilling warning, there may never be another reboot. If this Deal is canned, it’s dead for good.

Also what would 10 want more? A Temu ACA-like product at 6pm that’ll drive viewers over to Seven and Nine, or a game show that’ll actually bring in viewers tired of the nightly news? Those looking for something entertaining and enjoyable at 6pm. I know it’s currently on at 7pm, but seriously. I think 10 could do with letting 10 News+ go and keeping Deal.

If anything, I’d keep Deal over 10 News+, and I think any MS member would do the same thing. You’d still have room for the upcoming reboot of Millionaire Hot Seat, and Big Brother too. When Big Brother is on and they want to put it on at 7pm, shaft DoND and run Millionaire Hot Seat until Big Brother concludes, then have new eps (or repeats, or a mix of both) of DoND.

Whatever happens, just make sure it means we can finally say goodbye to the ratings-flopping ACA copycat i.e 10 News+. Please get rid of that rather than DoND.

I reckon it’ll be Millionaire 6-7pm and then primetime from 7pm on 10 in 2026.
Big Brother is just the trial run of it

It’s weird because tonight they were advertising a new episode of a grandfather and granddaughter playing together, but instead we got a repeat. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

130k. absolutely bombed and hurt the rest of 10s night

Personally I think a one-hour gameshow block with both shows would work well, with some sort of 30-minute news program (not 10News+), either at 6pm or 7pm.

If there’s only room for one show in the schedule next year though, why couldn’t they alternate between formats throughout the year? We seem to have just become accustomed to nightly gameshows running all year. Why not mix it up… start the year with Millionaire for a couple of months, switch to Deal or No Deal mid-year, then bring Millionaire back later on? It would help avoid viewer fatigue of the formats.

God help us if Millionaire is 1 hour. How boring. That’s what ruined it the last time.

According to the audience tickets, episodes are recorded two in the morning and two in the afternoon:
Morning Session - 9:00am to 12:50pm
Afternoon Session - 1:30pm to 5:20pm

Each session is nearly 4 hours long. This would heavily indicate that it would be a 1 hour program.

Or could it be multiple half hour episodes per recording sessions.

Actually morning starts 10.15am and afternoon starts 2.15pm.

The initial times are just “best for arrival”.

I would settle on 45 minutes.

Then Deal (if it comes back) or something else fills the next 45 and off to 7.30.

Not sure if this means anything, but the nightly promo now has a generic 7pm Weeknights endtag instead of 7pm Tonight.

Repeat episode scheduled for next Wednesday

Viewers seem to be quick on realising and turning off in droves when realising its a repeat. So this won’t bode well for the already low rating dog show that follows
