Deal or No Deal

10 have gone very safe if now bland, perhaps were worried with a newer untried name and wanted familiarity (DonD > Chase with AOK / FF > DonD with Denyer) :man_shrugging:

I feel like his time in TV is well done but he can’t let go. The forced orchestrated media articles about him while unemployed in the last year or two indicated otherwise.

Can’t he just go work in another industry?

Why should he work in another industry? If that’s what he likes to do and he continues to be offered jobs in that industry then why shouldn’t he take them?

Because he is past his use by date on TV.

He isn’t. He is popular and is liked. If you don’t like him then don’t watch the show. Let those who do like him and the show enjoy it. That applies to any personality or show.

I’ve always liked Grant and still reckon he’s talent, he did win the Gold Logie (say what you like) and really made FF his own and did well all things considered and was really popular (I almost wish that’d return). He could’ve easily returned to Seven or been picked up by Nine too, I think good network talent re-get and can be used for other events and as mentioned keeps that ‘10 game show’ continuity from FF, just like AOK from years on DonD to years on Chase.

FF Bert Newton > GD from 2014-2018

Tbh I always had a feeling he would get it and tbh I’m not that disappointed that he is. I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. :man_shrugging:

He’s young, but he will be 6o soon enough. :joy:

According to the Herald Sun, Ten’s reboot of Deal or No Deal will NOT feature ‘briefcase models’ who open the briefcase and clap the efforts of the contestant and host.

Howie Mandel’s US version had 26 models holding the briefcases and the banker appearing above the money board

Cost cutting… looks like this will be a low budget version.

As did the Hong Kong version on TVB.

Yeah not sure this is a cost cutting move, maybe just more moving with the times.

Yeah. In the past five years, there have actually been a lot of questions asked about whether the models are necessary.
