Deal or No Deal

Don’t blame them and wondered when this may happen, seems a shame to waste new episodes on relatively low rating Friday nights.

Did they ever do this with Family Feud?

I don’t recall, but I think it’s harder given the format of including returning champions on FF.

They likely wouldn’t want to air repeats too closely to eachother so they wait a few months for episodes to air, then start doing repeats

I see that 10 has strategically coded Friday’s episodes as “encores”. That will boost the weekly average that they can report.

Sneaky 10. But I can see why they are doing so. Any way to boost a weekly show upwards.

Hope Seven or Nine revives Family Feud, as I think feud was popular. But 10 simulcast the show on three channels for too long. By the time 10 chose to air it just on the primary channel, people were tired watching the latest Family Feud reboot!

Channel 10’s game shows including Deal or No Deal IMO would do better if it were on at 7pm. It might not beat the ABC 7pm News, ACA or Home and Away, but it would get slightly better numbers and give their reality offerings a much better lead-in.

How can Deal or No Deal attract more viewers at six o’clock? Last night Deal didn’t even rate in the top 30. Over on Nine, Tipping Point rated 800,000 plus, driving people to watch Nine News. How can 10’s game show rate more? What can they do to attract more viewers?

If you look at yesterdays ratings, it actually did make an appearance. It was 25th place in the average list. Just scroll down beyond the “reach list” where ypu see the “average list” (post 5).

Move it to another channel?

Move Deal or No Deal to 7pm and move the Project to 6pm. It won’t win the 7pm slot but will do much better and proved a better lead-in to the 7.30pm shows.

I don’t know why people think this? Sure, it would probably grow a little in the 7pm slot, but there is no guarantee it would do any better than The Project does now. Plus, moving The Project would reduce its audience.

Is it worth the risk? Maybe. They can always swap it back if it fails miserably. :man_shrugging:

It makes sense and would provide an alternative to 7pm viewing given there’s 3 x news shows on at the same time.
