Deal or No Deal

The idea there was that TPIR, and indeed most other games shows, when someone was about to be a big winner, would run the generic promos that “the big prize will go off this month/week” - but hide the details in the promo.

The whole point of those promotions was that you get people to tune in all week to the show in case that’s the night where the big money goes off, it’s supposed to be a jolt to ratings from casual viewers.

Spoiling that tonight a particular thing will happen is a bit pointless, and that’s not the sort of thing most networks were doing.

Promos seem to be working; Monday night’s ep was the highest rated since the launch episode.

Tonight’s ep was heartwarming, good contestants/backstory

2 Contestants Striking a Deal with the Banker at the Right Time when the Top Prize of $100,000 was Behind Briefcase #21 Knocked Out On Monday Night and the $75,000 Behind Briefcase #2 Knocked Out on Last Night’s Episode leaving with Cash Amounts of $16-17,000 in Cash Respectively with Grant Denyer.

Tonight’s Episode saw Lisa Edwards and her Daughter coming Down Beside Presenter Grant Denyer. Her Instincts were Spot On when She Turned Down the Bankers Final Offer of $14,000 and has Just Won herself $30,000 which was Hiding All the Way through the Entire Game inside Briefcase #5.

The $100,000 Top Prize was Behind the Starting Briefcase which is Briefcase #1.

What an amazing game tonight!

It’s Only Just the 3rd Time the Dream Finish has happened on Deal or No Deal with Grant Denyer. Tamara Murphy sold her Case for $88,000. Jessica Fraser sold Briefcase #2 at the Right Time for $91,700 on Monday the 5th of February Episode and Nathan Lee Turned Down the Bankers Final Offer of $79,999.

Would you Believe that is a Bank Offer in the Vicinity of Just Under $80,000. But Under $5,000 to Fall Back to Leave with $75,000 is a Great Deal, (The 2nd Person to Walk Away with the 2nd Highest Amount to Like what Sonia Sporton just did in February this year) Briefcase Number 16 had the $100,000 Inside.

I Really Hope that we get to See more of the Magical Moments Like Nathan Lee just Did on Tomorrow Night’s Episode of Deal or No Deal with Grant Denyer.

Incredible game! What a brilliant episode.

Was a repeat of last night’s episode on this morning?

Yes it was at 9:30am

Hope it isn’t a consistent thing

Why?

They’ve been repeating the show the next day since the beginning.

Most networks repeat their shows on the next day in their daytime slots.

Since Master Chef have been on this year, Deal has been growing

That seems suspiciously often for a show that’s only been running three months. In the decade or so the original UK version ran I only remember the top two prizes being left on a handful of occassions, and even then most the time it wasn’t in live play.

I think 10 would be thrilled if they could grow the audience to 400-450k by the end of the year.
It is regularly in the top 30 now, so the audience is definitely growing.

The increase would probably be associated with increased TV viewing in winter months.
