Sylvia Jeffreys has signed off at 3:00PM AEDT (2:00PM AEST). Coverage has ended in NSW, but has continued in QLD.
Sylvia mentioned that we can stream on 9Now but I don’t see a stream… I’m in Sydney
It appears to have been removed. It was on 9now yesterday.
I’m in Melb obviously. What networks are still on air? Has 10 done anything today?
Nothing, extended bulletin to 7pm AEDT tonight, going live into Qld from 4-6pm AEST.
Didn’t even take the presser featuring the PM earlier this morning.
At about 4.10 (5.10 AEDT), 7 switched to someone else I don’t know presenting? From SA??
Then at 4.28 back to Musher and Katrina, and including the Sunrise cover up clock over the 7News logo.
Caught the end of it - wasn’t someone from Adelaide (that I recognised anyway) - background screen also looked different to the one used in Adelaide
Melina Saris?
Just checked - was Melina Sarris by the looks of it, so it likely came from Melbourne.
Yes she signed off with her name.
Was anyone recording?
What a clunky message there: Supermarkets to reopen stores today & tomorrow.
Are they calling supermarkets stores? Or are they saying: Supermakets to reopen. Stores today & tomorrow.
Why not just say: Supermarkets to reopen today & tomorrow.
Disappointing that Nine didn’t go for a full 16-way window. It’s like they’re not even taking this event seriously.
Is that a record? 12?
Nine’s Sydney bulletin led with the Qld cyclone tonight, not the breaking news on the crash of the army tanks or the Lismore floods. Both pushed to third and fourth in the rundown respectively. I thought that was a strange decision.
There were also quite a few technical issues with the bulletin. The second story was a live cross to Davina Smith on the GC, and it took a bit for them to establish communication to her from the studio. In her package, there were Vox pops that were really hard to hear, and her PTC too actually. Surprised they made the edit at all. It wasn’t much better in studio. They crossed to Belinda for the weather but her mic wasn’t working. They went to another story and then came back to her. It still cut in and out, and was quite hard to hear.
