Cyclone Alfred - Coverage

Ironic, 10 had a bulletin and couldve gone live easily.
Missed chance.

But the bulletin was on one hour delay in Queensland.

If it was on delay, all the studios were free. A live could’ve been done.

9 or 7 got their bomb clocks out yet?

This is the BOM tracking forecast issued this morning.

Does seem strange with a mostly sunny day happening now.

Anyone know if 7, 9 & 10 have contingency plans for bulletins on Thursday & Friday if power is lost and Mt-Coo-tha studios are inaccessible?

Will 10’s Franken-Bulletin return?
(Asking this like I’ll be able to watch TV during it all)

10 may opt to do a morning bulletin this Thursday?

One thing I’ve noticed in the past, is when there is an intense thunderstorm impacting Mt Coot tha around news time you can just manage to hear that in the news studios.

May I remind everyone there’s a weather thread: Climate, Weather and Emergencies - Extra / Spy Lounge - Media Spy

I’d like to keep this one for my pictures of reporters standing in floodwaters with 160km winds yelling at us to get indoors

Surely 4BC will do the right thing and get a live stream of him standing on the banks of the Brisbane River only wearing a shirt, shorts, and ugg boots? That’s gotta qualify as an essential service
