Frequent announcements are being made on ABC Classic this afternoon advising how people can still listen to the station after it was announced it would become a simulcast of 612 in Brisbane at 3pm.
As the national emergency broadcaster, the ABC has made this decision to ensure local audiences can access relevant emergency information on both AM and FM frequencies, and it will serve as an additional redundancy should either frequency experience an outage.
Wonder if Seven could use Docklands again to co-ordinate some coverage, with Mike Amor, Karina Carvelho and Rebecca Maddern (all with national identities) all on site there? Like they did last night with the special bulletin.
ABC Local Radio (except Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, and NSW North Coast) will broadcast special editions of Australia All Over and AM this Sunday, according to online guides.

Might have been a very faint signal knowing it’s coming from 370km away and the Tropo is not very good at the moment, ABC Mid North Coast on 95.5 (Middle Brother) is currently airing Cyclone Information instead of TGIF.
The ABC serving it’s important purpose as an Emergency Broadcaster.
I assume NRL Coverage will not be on tonight between Middle Brother and Wide Bay. Hopefully everyone will stay safe from this massive storm.
