Australia thumped England by 72 runs in the third and final T20 match at Adelaide Oval tonight, to continue their dominance in the Women’s Ashes series.

England has a small chance of victory in the second T20 in Canberra on Thursday, but were thwarted by rain after one ball was bowled in the 20th over. The home side won by six runs under the DLS method.

Australia achieved 3-0 clean sweep each of T20 and ODI series with the MCG test to go.

West Indies have a decent chance of a surprise win in Pakistan. Pakistan are 4/76 and need 176 more to win. In the first innings, WI were about 8 for 50 before a dead cat bounce from the tail boosted their score to 163. Unbelievably they got a slender first innings lead!

Yeah it has been an interesting series. Shame it is not 3 tests. Watching on youtube.

West Indies won easily in the end by a whopping 120 runs. Great stuff from them; hopefully they get more tests.

Would be great to see the WI of old return and be a Test cricket force again, but can’t see it happening… though they did beat the Aussies at home last summer.

Not while T20 and other sports take up the attention of West Indians. Isn’t their cricket federation gone all wacky?

Yep WI cricket is pretty stuffed at the moment. There test side is getting better but wetther the good players stay there is another question.

Hurricanes have won the flip and opted to bowl.

LET’S GO THUNDER!

Looking forward to it! Should be a great game.

I don’t mind who wins really. Happy for the Canes to get their first title though.

Oddly enough, some rare thunderstorms developed offshore from Hobart a little while ago (moving further away though).

Could be an omen? I’m going for Hobart though- I’m a frustrated Tasmanian at heart and they’ve yet to win a title, as stated.

Can’t stand David Warner either to tell you the truth (and it’s not a case of tall poppy- by all accounts he’s not the most pleasant bloke).

The Thunder are the de facto Canberra side so in essence, it’s the battle of summer cold vs winter cold.

This is good cricket from the Thunder. Nice and steady, nothing silly. Hope this continues.

I look up to the sky, and I see @ElCapitanCranky is over the moon at 0/97 after 10.

On track for over 200.

did you just jinx it

FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARK.

I know!

All of a sudden, 2/97.

Maybe the sight of @ElCapitanCranky being over the moon put them off. It was not a pretty sight.

I blame @Radiohead

I wasn’t over the moon per say, just happy to see them take it steady.

7/182 - not too bad, but if the Canes didn’t get the wickets at the moments they did, the score could’ve been the 195-205 mark.
Now we need to work our magic with the ball to frustrate Hobart like we did to the Sixers.

Agree, 182 is good, but gettable. Thunder slightly ahead at the moment for mine though.
