Is that the A-League Women’s system? (1v2 play for final, winner 3v4 play loser 1v2 for final)

Yep. Also used in Super Netball as well. AFL used it in the 20th century and it’s used in curling and the NBA’s Play-in tournament

So basically the same as the current finals format, just minus the first game (“The Eliminator”(?)?

Yep

While that seems most likely…

with the finals structure to be confirmed closer to the season.

Brisbane has moved to the Australia Day test (as opposed to the opening test) and is a Day / Night Test.

Only 3 ODI’s this year (seems like its alot lower than previous years) and 3 T20’s. not a massive summer of cricket tbh

Not a good move as Qld school starts back from Jan 21

After the fixture was announced last night, all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner again complained about the scheduling of an international match on January 26 (day 2 of the day/night test against West Indies).

might be why its the day / night test. kids could go to school than to the gabba

That draw does not look very enticing… both WI and SAF were awful last time they played here. PAK have mostly struggled here too.

BBL is a bit more competitive at least.

It’s a tradition now Perth begins the summer.

Get the shit one out the way early :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

When was the last time SA toured? Also, first Test match between the two nations.

SAF played 3 Tests here last summer…

Easy wins for AUS in 2 of them, the Sydney Test was (of course) mostly a washout.

It’s the women…

Ooh sorry! Yeah I dunno.

  1. Aus won the 5-match ODI series 4-0 with one draw.
