I don’t think Barham suggested for an expanded season. He is merely suggesting that there should be BBL matches only for the rest of January, after the Sydney test concludes. No ODIs or international Twenty20 matches.

Yes for fox but 7 are providing a sub par coverage. It isn’t very good technically or aesthetically.

Seven suffers from having to take a feed that is fairly sloppily cut away from fro the fox exclusive bits, but it’s a big improvement on Nine

Fox’s coverage is superb, but that’s not a real surprise, given what theyve done with other sports

It won’t happen though because it would risk other nations putting tours in that slot that involve Australia (like India did this year)

Great result for cricket with our teams #1 in two forms of the game entering a new decade

At this rate they might as well relay Fox’s coverage on their channels. Might save them some production costs and spare us some of their average commentators.

I personally don’t know why they don’t already! If they don’t want Fox to be mentioned then just use the international feed. All you would have to do is have a host at the ground to host any during match segments, as these are removed from the international feed. MUCH cheaper.

Cricket Australia has confirmed the venues for Australia’s home test series against India this summer.

You better bloody hope this bullshit is “temporary”

It should have been banned years ago. It is a gross habit.

Yes, but without it the game gets boring and, as Mitchell Starc said, people would be driven away from both being a bowler and the game of cricket itself.

Using spit and/or sweat is common and, for practitioners of swing bowling, integral. … When bowled correctly, a bowler can get the ball to move from one side to the other through the air. Also, it is common for bowlers to rub the ball against their clothing to dry or polish it, as seen in most cricket matches.

What does spit do that a dab of water can’t?

Spit on one palm, put water on the the other and tell me the difference.

(Then wash your hands for 20 seconds)

LOL.
It’s disgusting habit and given the the COVID-19 pandemic it should really be banned. It has nothing to do with the game of cricket, just some idiot like Starc wanting to put saliva on a ball…yuck.

Siddle is an over rated player. Just retire already.

In case you are wondering, if the men’s Twenty20 World Cup gets the go-ahead for this year, the group match between Australia and Pakistan at the SCG on Saturday night, October 24, could potentially come up against the rescheduled AFL Grand Final, following Cox Plate racing day in the afternoon.
