At what point does it become too much for reporters to be out and about mingling with people? I mean is there a work around??
A couple of networks are asking reporters to file and voice from the road and not enter the newsroom or office. Microphones will also be mounted on stands for interviews with some distance between the talent and reporter.
A decision on the 9 Gold Coast bulletin will be made tomorrow. Some of those crew resources will be needed for the 6pm Brisbane and late bulletin.
When Peter Lusted did a live cross from AFL House to Mary Gearin on ABC News Victoria this evening, the microphone was mounted on a stand.
Lol it’s not 28 in a day, that’s since they have started testing. It increased by 10 since Friday.

I’ve heard there are a number of back up plans happening at the moment between Sydney and Melbourne newsrooms to keep bulletins on the air around the country.
There is a very likely chance we may see stations share state bullets etc.
Could Perth be used as a back-up, given the time difference?
