The protesters on the Westgate Bridge. This is crazy.

This is making me so mad. I have tried to not get angry too often but my blood is boiling. I have never witnessed something so irrational. If they don’t want the vaccine go find another profession.

The police confrontation shortly could get ugly.

News Chopper going back to refuel again.

On @MelbTV 's point:

Remember, Daniel Andrews took it upon himself to face the media for many consecutive days during the peak of Melbourne’s wave last year. If he, and his team can face that, I’m sure they can stick to their decision to close construction.

Looks like heading for the Bolte next.

I assume they must’ve all signed up for September with all the wandering they’re doing.

Matthew Guy speaking to Mike Amor on Seven says that the protesters should go home and he doesn’t support what they’re doing right now.

Been hooked onto the Seven coverage for the last half hour or so. Poor Cameron Baud, got his microphone knocked out of his hand by some thugs.

Apparently two people have died on worksites today. My sympathy goes out to their families.

The perfect match.

For the record, Mike Amor has been speaking out strongly against today’s protests and you can tell that he is frustrated. Certainly not coming across as right wing by any measures.

They all belong in a Zoo. They are all acting like a pack of animals. I’ve seen animals behave better than these pack of morons.

I wouldn’t put it that way. Mike Amor has been doing an excellent job today.

Sorry should’ve been referring to Seven instead of Mike, who’s fairly balanced.

Maybe I am naive. but hopefully this is the low point and the backlash from todays’ events puts an end to it, and society unites against them.
Kind of like how the christchurch shooting ended a lot of heated Islamophobia and January 6 ended Qanon.

Protesters are back in the CBD, now on the corner of Collins St and King St, walking through tram tracks and both sides of traffic. Reports that the crowd of protesters has grown throughout the day and is now in its thousands.

Interestingly, there is no violence (apart from earlier with police just coming off the Westgate bridge). They are simply walking along the road, drinking beer and looking at their phones. Not that it excuses their actions though.

Seen plenty of it on social media, though the videos seem to have been taken in the CBD as opposed to on the West Gate.
