The NSW Government have said that they will consider applications for exemptions for professional sports teams if they follow similar arrangements to what the AFL and NRL have done

The closure of NSW-Victorian border has led to Racing NSW banning Victorian horses from travelling to the state, something Racing Victoria objects.
Tomorrowâs Wednesday race meeting is cancelled because Warwick Farm racecourse is within the Liverpool Council area.
Not overly surprised that the races have been called off, but just on this point:
Not only that, both Warwick Farm and Liverpool are next to each other!

The cancellation is justified because according to SMH:

The Australian Open golf tournament, due to be held at Melbourneâs Kingston Heath this November, has been postponed due to COVID-19.

This morningâs announcement that Queensland will close its borders to people from Greater Sydney from this Saturday, August 1, will have huge effects on sporting competitions like the NRL, Super Rugby AU and Super Netball. Sydney-based teams will need exemptions from the Queensland Government to fly in and out without having to observe 14 days self quarantine. Conversely, Super Rugby side Queensland Reds (who have matches in Canberra and Sydney in the next two weekends) will also need exemptions so players wonât have to self-isolate when they return home.
AFL teams Sydney and GWS will need to head to their Queensland hub earlier than expected.

Public holiday in Brisbane and surrounds tomorrow in lieu of the Wednesday RNA Show holiday that would have been this week. The State Govt moved the hol to give a long weekend despite the show being cancelled.
Expect news reports of breaches of social distancing in tomorrowâs TV ânewsâ.

However, the exhibition will still be controlled by the creative production team in Melbourne. I hope the exhibition can be held in Melbourne next year when restrictions are eased.

Port Phillip Council is set to vote this week to whether or not to postpone next yearsâ St Kilda Festival that is due to the held in February 2021. A proposal will be made to postpone the event until 2022.

I reckon Royal Darwin Show is the most likely to be held next year provided there are no cases in NT by then.
UPDATE 28/8: This yearâs Royal Hobart Show, scheduled for October, has already been cancelled, however the Show Day public holiday will still go ahead.
