Lets face it many businesses are having to cope with less staff at the moment and less revenue in the future, so sadly many will jump to the conclusion that as they coped with say half the workforce during COVID-19 they’ll be able to do so moving forward. And then of course should god forbid a similar situation occur in the near future they won’t be able to cope at all.
I’m glad WIN is mentioned this on-air. Canberra is our capital, they NEED local news!
She only says the newsroom is not closing.
Not the bulletin.
They could keep the newsroom and do noodle updates or windows in the Wollongong bulletin
Here’s the report.

im sorry but win tv shouldnt be crying fowl. and they know it . they are all bruce gordons puppets. and he clearly doesnt give a rats about win or win news
Which is a load of crap, otherwise the bulletins would have been axed for noodle updates 20 years ago. That is a LOT of money to forego.
Sorry… couldn’t resist.
I’d probably suggest that the main reason (perhaps even the only reason) the news services of WIN and NBN survived almost two decades ago while Prime & Southern Cross pulled out had something to do with the fact WIN & NBN were affiliated with Nine which back in the Early 2000s, was the #1 rated TV network in the country. Seven & Ten (and as a result, their affiliates) were in considerably weak positions back in 2001, even though both improved at the expense of Nine by the mid-2000s.
Had WIN/NBN been affiliated with Seven or Ten while Prime or Southern Cross had the Nine affiliation, we’d probably still be telling a story of how Nine affiliates kept their local news services running while Seven & Ten affiliates pulled out.
i would say that would be true and that would be only reason why win news has servived coz of being an 9 affilate . i think things are different now that there a 10 affilation

Noodle updates. Yum.
Agree with the comment to engage a good employment solicitor and not to work during paid leave. Don’t affirm the many illegal directives being asked of people at this time.
That’s not to say to make life difficult for employers, but simply enforce your contract that employers stick to what they’ve agreed to.
Interesting to read in the comments in that article of a boycott of media assets that support Pell, glad to read of that, how disgraceful but not surprising for the Catholic loving Murdoch media to give Pell space in the Saturday newspapers.
Apparently, Masterchef is still filming.
If so, I believe this and Plate of Origin are the only two reality shows still filming at the moment.
I thought it was stated last week that Plate of Origin was completed?
Correct, Plate of Origin finished filming last week.
MasterChef is the only reality show still filming.
Fortunately (I guess) for MasterChef the restrictions hit once the number of contestants had been whittled down; just remembering how crowded the studios have sometimes appeared but especially their share house accommodation at the start of previous seasons.
Foxtel is not in good shape.
