Donā€™t tempt fate. Someone will end up becoming a super spreader out here and we will be back in lockdown.

Sewage in parts of Sydney is still detecting COVID, so the chances are it may well be circulating.

Testing numbers are just above 10,000 each day, itā€™s not good enough to determine that the virus has been eliminated.

What do you propose to do?? Force people to get tested?

At some point testing numbers will drop - people arenā€™t going to get tested if they arenā€™t exhibiting symptoms or have not come into contact with someone who has been recently infected.

Indeed. Perhaps the NSW government should do random testing in the areas where sewerage shows the virus is present?

They are only getting positive sewerage tests in areas with known cases that are either still in isolation or are now shedding the virus which can take weeks/months after the infectious period.

Iā€™m assuming they are just being cautious which is a good thing. Hopefully more people in that area get tested as they does still seem to be missing links in the cluster. So clearly undiagnosed covid positive people out there still.
