I feel a lot better after seeing 38,000 tests and 15 cases all linked.
Good testing numbers, would they be yesterdayâs test results or earlier? I.E, how long are the teat results taking? At its worst in Melbourne there were up to several days lag between testing and results.
Yep. People here thinking they are out of the woods⌠Fact is there is ANOTHER 15 cases. If that keeps happening every day then this cluster is only going to continue to grow. It is great they are all linked. However, they still havenât found the route of the problem which is hugely concerning. At least the SA cluster knew straight away where it had come from.
I think a lot of the panic is in and around peopleâs anxiety etc. especially a this time of year. People are on edge and plans are being ruined. We canât be attacking people for having anxiety.
I have a friend in Manly who got tested Friday and received test results Sunday. So Iâd say between 24-48 hours.
No known lag in NSW.
Tests are coming back in less than 24 hours.
Thereâs always a lag given the nature of testing, hopefully itâs on the shorter side. Post above suggests 24-48 hours. Matches what one of my Sydney colleagues experienced earlier in the month, Thursday AM test, Friday PM results.
Four of my family were tested at midday yesterday and received their results at 6am this morning.
Yep, so a time lag of 18 hours, from testing to results. Thatâs pretty good.
All negative I hope.
Thatâs a really good turnaround. Gives confidence that the cases out of 38k tests.
All negative.
It really irks me that Gladys will not wear a mask. When SA had their cluster everyone came into the presser wearing a mask and leading by example. You cannot request people to wear a mask if you are going to ignore that order yourself. I donât care if she has a reason not to wear a mask. If you are going to request mask be worn wear one or donât make that request or explain why you arenât wearing one.
They would be from Saturday. They go by the date results are received not the day tests are taken
No one who currently has COVID-19 in NSW is in a serious condition.
More great news!
Dr Chant doing a good job as opposed to Gladys. Gladys is a poor communicator and talks in riddles. Never gives a direct answer and doesnât know how to explain things in a non condescending manner.
Dr Chant said that out of 15 new cases, five have been linked to The Salon for Hair at Turramurra, while another has been linked to the Rose of Australia Hotel at Erskineville.
Well those numbers were positive today given what it could have been, Everything still points to this being picked up early and localised. I get that people in Sydney are probably more on edge with this uncertainty hovering around going into Christmas but still all the data is showing good signs. We could even end up with a cluster not too much bigger than 100 if theyâve wrapped the wool around it and we see further drops.
And getting supplies in case itâs not back to normal on Christmas Eve.
fingers crossed that it is under control, if it is, that doesnât mean that any panic and fear was not warranted. There needs to be a level of necessary fear for strong decisive action, like instant lockdowns, to remain politically viable. All this optimism, hope and faith is just going to breed arrogance and complacency and eventually send Australia down the path towards a UK/USA covid hell hole.
