COVID-19: Greater Sydney & NSW Re-Opens

Wow. What a piece of work you are. I shouldn’t expect better, but wow.

You make good points about the vaccine but seriously, get a grip. Learn some context before making such an ignorant statement.

Pull your head in.

Let’s hope so, although unfortunately I’m less than optimistic at the present time.

Yeah, realistically I don’t think you’d be able to make people wear masks at home in Australia.

So Dr Chant is copping the full blame. Is that right?

In a lot of locations, it gets worse too - where I live, the only state (ie NSW Govt) run facility is open on Wednesdays and between 9am and 3pm, the only other options are GPs because pharmacies have been targeted at smaller markets.

Based on the sites that are allowing online bookings in town - you currently can’t get a vaccine for at least a month, that might change tomorrow but the shortage is that great that any sooner appointments get snapped up quickly.

It’s little wonder why locally we have some of the lowest vaccination numbers in the state…

This is the closest I’ve seen to a list of pharmacists where you can get the vaccine:

Dr Chant should not Brad Hazzard should. He’s attitude and performance at the parliamentary inquiry was arrogant and uncalled for.

It’s definitely harder in regional areas.

I have tried to book online for the Belmont (Newcastle) Hub for the last few weeks. Only in in the last few days was it appearing on the NSW Health website and even then when I tried to book, it refused to accept my Medicare card details. Other online bookings weren’t available for 30 days.

So I gave up, and rang my GP instead yesterday, and by sheer luck I am booked for my first AZ shot this Friday! (the next appointment wasn’t until 4th September).

I understand that, and whatever gets you through this hard time is acceptable. A lot of the university studies are saying we will see peaks over the next 2-3 days and that from there they numbers will drop and be acceptable levels by early September. But there are just so many unknowns.

Talking about a fucking respiratory illness which has killed millions like its some kind of break up between two highschoolers in a RomCom is the stupidest thing thing I’ve read on this forum.

Hazzard always comes across as incredibly rude and unprofessional. Terrible.

He’s just once again shown us that he’s a babbling fool. Clearly his management stuffed up yet he’s trying to deflect blame and accuses the experts of wasting their time when his incompetence is wasting the time of the people of NSW.

She always looks like she dreads being his company everywhere she goes with him.

Hazzard is a :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: pig! Who treats someone like that. Show some decent respect.

In the words of Dan - “not a Leader, just a Liberal”.

Who talked about high school and rom coms? Only you

I talked about a metaphor of addiction like a drug that is really nice but just not sustainable - that’s zero covid

Wow what an arrogant _____

It is absolutely the job of public servants to answer and explain every single question from journalists and be challenged. I wish there was more of it. Scum bag of a politician

And this is why Sydney is currently in the position it is in today. Absolutely terrible.

Clearly Hazzard is trying to hide something here. He must be guilty in some way or the other otherwise he wouldn’t be so defensive (provided he has some common sense, which I think he has none).
