Looks like the UK could be in for a second wave as well. They had their highest number in a while.

Yes, I think things will get better soon when restrictions start to take effect…

At least it’s not spiralling out of control to 500 then 800 then 1,000+ per day. That would be a huge concern.

The common rule is 1.5m, but this being a food factory which makes so many products every day, I think the management increased the distance just to be safe.

Yep they are looking at it in 2 week cycles to see trends take affect. The numbers the past week are in the same range.

I just tested myself (did not enjoy the process, made me gag) and was told expect a couple days and the sheet said 2-5 days. So today’s numbers are prob ones that came through yesterday and maybe people that tested Monday.

Victoria’s COVID-19 reproduction rate close to one

By Paul Sakkal

Victoria’s COVID-19 reproduction rate – the average number of people that an infected person spreads the virus to – is dropping to be close to one, Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton said.

Recently, Victoria’s reproduction number rose close to 2.5.

Authorities aim to limit this number to less than one in order to prevent exponential growth in cases.

“This is a good sign,” Professor Sutton said.

This is what you don’t hear in most of the mainstream the news.

It’s a good sign that hopefully will start a downward trend soon.

Today’s numbers in Victoria apparently aren’t good. Reports suggest over 400.

I can just imagine the resistance if a vaccine does beconme avaiable.

The flyer, delivered to the letterboxes of Garran residents yesterday, looks like it contains an important COVID-19 health warning, but instead alleges that coronavirus is being spread by the government through the water supply, and that a possible vaccination against the virus could include a tracking device.

Only 8 cases in NSW overnight. I wonder how many tests they conducted in the last 24 hours.

I think she said 24k

That is really impressive. There is really no reason to not open up NSW to the rest of Australia now (bar Victoria). South Australia really needs open its borders now to NSW.

Yep the states changing their mind on travel from NSW based off a couple of outbreaks or clusters is just ridiculous. If it became a big widespread problem i would understand but there is no moving forward for the country if this is how state governments are going to react to this.
