Seriously? Are you giving this asshole attention? He knows nothing but dogwhistling to the extremists whilst being one himself.
I hope you’re not agreeing with this dangerous fella. He’s nothing but filth.

Of course, then why spread little Avraham the convicted wife bashed’s bullshit on here with no comment or context? If you found that, you probably found this this but that doesn’t suit your agenda.

.
I only brought this up because it was discussed on radio tonight and was mentioned that it’s been negatively received over in the west. All I’ve done is posted a video, I haven’t provided any opinion.
Again, all I did was post a video that people could make their minds up on themselves. I didn’t provide any opinion at all.
No, I didn’t see that, Avi’s video came up first so I just posted that to save the time. Please refrain from assuming I have an agenda. For all you know maybe I disagree with Avi and think it’s a good video. I sincerely hope that WA’s Aboriginal communities will be protected from the virus.
I did initially see content claiming that it was faked / dubbed (and this is initially what my post stated), but it’s a legitimate translation into “Australian / Kimberley Kriol”, endorsed by the Aboriginal Health Council of WA and found on their website (scroll to the bottom of the page), under translations with the backing of Aboriginal Interpreting WA. The federal government has also produced COVID-19 related content in this language.
There’s some irony in far-right sources claiming that this is “racist” when it’s an attempt to reach the widest audience possible, particularly with the challenges in vaccinating indigenous communities in the Pilbara and Kimberley in WA.
Your political agenda on this forum would indicate otherwise.
It’s a campaign to encourage indigenous West Australians to get vaccinated. When tweeted by Yemeni, it’s a dog whistle to the far right and covid deniers globally.
A video which, with any analysis of the type of character posting it is, would give most reasonable people pause to consider whether it is manipulated or out of context.
How embarrassing…
The old Tucker Carlson defense. “Has anyone really stopped to ask if these vaccines actually work? I’m just asking questions here”.
Wow, tough crowd tonight. I heard about this story when it was covered on the radio. I find the clip on twitter (regretting now that I just chose the ‘top’ one which was posted by Avi Yemini) so I can post it here for others to make their mind up. I post no opinion of it whatsoever, but am automatically linked to being some right wing nutjob or my true colours have come out. In no way at all do I like Avi. Horrible man.
Unfortunately it seems some are just looking for something to criticise because they don’t agree with previous comments I’ve made on this forum which has nothing to do with this situation.
And I never said you did. I said I hope you are not going to agree with him or the likes.
Imagine doing something as per custom of the audience and being shot down.
As far as I’m aware, this was the messaging encouraged by the community.
Yet here you are spreading his bile and hate as if it’s all an innocent misunderstanding.
Pardon me for finally losing the thought that you’re more than just incredibly naive and gullible and are another seduced by the cult of Avraham Yemeni and his ilk.
Unfortunately, you keep proving time and time again to have a right wing agenda on this forum. Most posts or clips you share seem to indicates this.
We have all aligned ourselves politically through our opinions and contributions in these political threads. It’s no mystery that you are at least critical of the left side of politics. You’re allowed to be. But you share far-right propaganda at your own peril.
Translation: “I’m now portraying myself as a victim because I shared online misinformation, potentially unwittingly, and got my arse handed to me.”
Thanks for this post in doing the deep dive - I wasn’t going to click through to that person’s content.
That last link is quite eye opening in terms of realising just how large the gulf is, how little of it you actually understand in each sentence at times - but to consider it in reverse that if that’s your native tongue, how Australian Standard English would sound to you if you weren’t fluent in both.
It’s not about the same language, but I’d highly recommend to watch this video about a English based creole language used in Jamaica, as a good grounding on the concept - and how much the grammar and word choices can take something very far away from English, and that what might sound like just an accent change is so much more than that.
NT recorded 352 new COVID cases today.
I’ve seen quite a few media companies follow this path. It doesn’t open anyones eyes, it just feeds hate, and the majority of people who view it (not here) on social media will believe it, with no context, no interest in researching.
And all for a video that you thought would let people make up their own minds.
Disappointing
I’m just surprised it took WA this long to shut NT out.
NT had been recording low number of COVID cases until New Year’s Eve when they started to spiral up.
