Messaged the management, it should be back now.
Switchâs Facebook page [posted 7.30am Bris time today, about 10-15 mins before it came back up] eventually said, quote âWe are a waiting on a Big windows update - ETA to Return to air is approx 8 AMâ.
They must either be using dial up internet or running Windows 3.1!
More like DOS 5.0
Playout was Linux based during my time there and we rarely had issues seemed to be quite reliable
Was back on air again this morning on both AM and DAB, must have been a big update to have them off air for the best part of 12 hours!
The bills must have been paid yesterday!!
Very much enjoying the sound of 2NUR FM at the moment. A great classic hits format (Iâd say classic hits rather than easy listening) with laid back but professional presenters. This is what radio should sound like.
They donât play the obvious songs either; theyâve played âWait For Meâ by Hall & Oates, âOver My Headâ by Fleetwood Mac and âSay Youâll Be Mineâ by Christopher Cross in quick succession this morning.
2NUR would probably be my pick of all the stations in Newcastle & the Hunter, as well as in the northern + elevated parts of the Central Coast. They now position themselves as âGood Times & Great Musicâ.
The station also has âThe Awesome 80sâ on Wednesdays from 6 to 8pm, as well as âCasey Kasemâs American Top 40â at 12-3pm Sundays.
They still take Casey which is good. I might make that appointed listening.
Trampling on Triple Mâs front lawn there.
I hope they shit on it whilst they are there!
SWR is at very low power this morning. Seems like an issue. I am in hhh territory but still can get a reasonable signal (normally).
No signal at all in Glenwood on the car radio.
I have let @matt86 know.
Back on air.
Faulty power amp unit. We are on air with our standby TX.
Just got this from vision in regards to DAB+
Vision has negotiated an access agreement for Vision Christian Radio and our music channel V180 Radio to the greater Brisbane area, plus the northern end of the Gold Coast and the southern end of the Sunshine Coast.
Initially, this will be for a four-month trial period (starting 1 April), with an option to continue for a much longer term, depending on whether we are able to secure the funds required to continue.
While at this stage, the opportunity has become available in Brisbane, we will be pursuing similar arrangements in other states as they become available.
Why would anyone give him more airtime!
Wow, I used to view Coast FM so highly but this is just a poor choice, good publicity but itâs like selling your soul to get it.
Isnât it amazing the power that Singo has.
Jones is doing it for no fee.
How strong is the station signal? Will it be picked up along the majority of the Coast?
