(Anna) Coren and a camera operator were photographed by another journalist climbing over the crime scene cordon around the fence of the nursery in northeastern Nong Bua Lamphu province.

The Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand (FCCT) late Saturday night released a statement saying a “CNN team entered a clearly marked crime scene without permission – no matter what they may claim. This was unprofessional and a serious breach of journalistic ethics in crime reporting.”

In response, CNN’s public relations department tweeted a statement saying the reporters were filming at the nursery “when the center’s police cordon had been removed,” and that “three public health officials exiting the building spoke to the team and told them they could film inside.”

Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn, deputy national police chief, said yesterday Coren and cameraman Daniel Hodge were escorted from their hotel in Udon Thani by police, and taken to a local police station for questioning. He added that the two reporters will be deported and blacklisted, but only after the completion of any legal proceedings.

UPDATE: Coren and Hodge were both fined 5000 baht ($AU209) and had their tourist visas revoked. They arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport on Thursday and were permitted to stay until November 19 as tourists.

Very sincere…

Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand last night tweeted a statement by CNN:

And the CNN new morning show is called… CNN This Morning. This may confirm it will be taking a similar route to CBS This Morning in format and content, but going less heavy on opinion.

Start date: November 1.

From what I have seen so far of CNN This Morning it seems good. I am a fan of Don Lemon and I think he is getting along with the other hosts. I think CNN isn’t going to change that much from what Chris Licht said on CNBC the other day so I think CNN will still have much of the same hosts.

First look at CNN This Morning.

Doesn’t feel hugely different to CNN’s former breakfast show ‘New Day’ so far. Hosts do have good chemistry.

They’ve done away with the brick look set finally. The desk seems to be the same as New Day.

Going for a casual and warm approach, as most morning shows do now. Similar vibe to Sunrise/Fox & Friends.

I haven’t seen him on the coverage yet, The portions of the coverage with Tapper and John King are probably the highlight for me so far.
