Climate, Weather and Emergencies

Christmas Day is looking to be a lovely warm one in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, and also relatively warm in Melbourne.

Boxing Day will be 27 degrees in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, 24 in Adelaide and 32 in Perth.

I didn’t quite get to watch what BOM was saying on Sunrise this morning, talking about 2021 outlook for Australia.

I also can’t seem to find the video on the net either.

It’ll likely be part of a media release on Monday.

The fact that “heat refuges” even need to be a thing in Western Sydney is disgusting.

Heat is not a new phenomenon. Just seems someone wants to help formalise places where people can go (focused on vulnerable people) and perhaps those sites will benefit from extra traffic.

Plus it is recognised the cost of electricity (and many other things) is a lot higher these days.

If you ran a TV station, what would you play? (provided you are not CNN).

Parts are nearly at that point already.

Today at about 15:00, near Campbelltown my car said it was 42.5°C, and the overnight temperatures aren’t dropping low enough for comfort.

I don’t believe in car temperatures at all, they aren’t a true reading.
