Back in the early days Home & Away and Neighbours used to air repeats during the afternoon. As of 2005, Home and Away (rpt) was replaced by 7 Arvo News, Neighbours was replaced by cooking shows.

This is the story of two sisters—Jessica Tate and Mary Campbell. I used to love Soap the comedy parody of daytime soap operas. You had to chase it around Nine’s schedule though at it was always a late night slot. Benson was a spin off series.

Interesting to see Gordon Elliott reading Ten’s news on the weekend just months before Good Morning Australia kicked off. They would’ve been workshopping the breakfast show former at the time.

Australian Open golf is back at The Lakes 38 years later - albeit a healthier sponsor, but sadly this year’s field would have fewer big names as back then.
