Meanwhile, Seven is on Day 10 of the Sydney Olympics.
Hang on a Minute, I noticed BTQ7 Premiered Ian Turpie’s newest Game Show Press Your Luck months before ATN and HSV (who produced it out of) I wonder why?
I also noticed 4RR’s slogan is a line from ‘Love You Brisbane’.
The days of rugby league games on the ABC are well behind us
The classic Simpsons episode where Homer eats blowfish, that era of The Simpsons was the best by far.
Though oddly using very wrong episode titles
Noticed that, but they could of been working titles used in production that were used for some reason.
Whilst Melbourne only took the first grade GF on both ABC and Nine, up north we got the Reserve Grade game between Norths and Balmain as the curtain raiser, which was the one and only time the Fatman (Paul Vautin) was play by play caller. I don’t believe 9 covered the Under 21s won by Western Suburbs and if they did I haven’t seen footage of it.

2013 AFL Grand Final on 7 with Freo in their first grand final
Curious to know what GO Surround Sound was like. Also they played 2001: A Space Odyssey at one point? Interesting.

Eyewitness News on Seven for a short time when O had News Watch at 6.30.
I worked at ABC TV News in Melbourne from 1975 to 1982. Ralphe Neill was a reporter at ABC long before he read the news. I remember him from at least 1980.
