I think i’m one of the few people who actually enjoyed David Tench Tonight

I remembered watching a bit of repeats of Cheers after coming home from school. At 3pm, Nine often screen numerous (first run or repeat) sitcoms.
Pretty sure they had been showing The Drew Carey Show at 3pm only a few weeks earlier.
Today also marks 19 Years since Laurie Dennis won $569,747 worth of Cash and Prizes including a $465,000 Ramada Pelican Waters Apartment on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast and all the Other Prizes including an Alfa Romeo GTV JTS 2L Valued at $57,627, Seadoo from JV Marine World Worth $18,300, an 18 Carat Gold Plated Pen from Parker Pen worth $14,000 and all of the Other Prizes.
So that is Twice in One Week that Australian Television History has been made and it remained that way for the remainder of the 2004 Season. Until March 2005 when Joanne Segeviano went Straight into the Record Books leaving with Cash and Prizes in the Vicinity of just under $665,000 worth of Cash and Prizes.
WIN missing out on the Brownlow Red Carpet.
Some of the gags were quite funny but it was mostly rubbish. One memorable one was when David interviewed Pat Rafter from memory.
“Lleyton Hewitt. You want him to win because he’s a Aussie and you want him to lose because he’s a knob”
I’m sure they were still just as frustrated in 2008 as they were in 2004.
In those days the prelims were played Saturday Night and Sunday Afternoon
It seems really odd they aired the Emmy Awards in the graveyard shift, I get the Brownlow would have been higher up on the list for Ten but why not shift the Emmys to another night so it could have aired in a better timeslot rather than dumping it at 12:45 am
US Award shows haven’t always been a priority to air.
Ten with a double bill of Law and Order SVU.

I noticed that on WIN TV, they broadcasted the Red Carpet Arrivals for the Brownlow Medal, while Channel 10 didn’t screen the Red Carpet arrivals. I also noticed that Channel 9 scheduled Australia’s Funniest Home Videos on a Monday.
I guess it was our turn in Metro WA to be “frustrated” at the lack of Red Carpet coverage
10 and WIN have the same run time for the Brownlow Medal so I wouldn’t be surprised if the Red Carpet was included but just not listed in the TV Guide for 10.
