Not sure but Nine east coast may have been running The Nanny there as well.

WIN News at 9pm followed by ACA is certainly different, due to the cricket. Also risky depending on how long the game really goes. Would an early finish have seen these shown earlier or other filler broadcast to have then run from around 9pm.

At least ACA wan’t at 11:00pm (graveyard) like Nine Perth.

Over on Seven, Kylie Gillies and David Campbell hosted the Christmas with the Stars. David Campbell would then move to CHannel 9 a couple of months later.
I noticed that Channel 10 and ONE broadcasted higlights of the Sailing - ISAF Championships in Fremantle. This sailing championships was part of the preparations for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London TMK. Meanwhile on ONE, they showed an NBL match in its graveyard timeslot.
Over on Nine, they broadcasted a Test Match between Australia and New Zealand in Bellerive Oval, HObart. Nine didn’t show the 5pm news due to the cricket and instead opted for Hot Property repeats.

Always felt Time Force was a little more teen/young adult themed/oriented than some other series.

Seven were also skipping episodes of Time Force if the Australian Open tennis ran overtime. They were also complaints from parents about the ads for 18+ chat lines in children’s programming, lol. Pretty poor all round from Seven.

It cheezed me off that World Series Cricket was not telecast on any country TV stations, living in country Victoria at the time. Cricket was not well liked by these stations. I had to settle for radio coverage from 3UZ Melbourne for WSC matches. When Nine had the official test cricket in 1979, when it and the tennis clashed, BTV6 and GMV6 took the tennis (cricket on late highlights) while BCV8/GLV10 and RVN/AMV took the cricket (tennis on late highlights). By 1981 the country stations had enough of Nine’s monopoly of cricket intruding on the tennis and gave the regional test cricket rights to the ABC (one-dayers remained with the regional stations), which continued until aggregation in Victoria and Northern NSW in 1992.

Standby programs would have got a run on 9 that night, Saffies didn’t last much more than 30 overs in the run chase as they got belted so badly Warne didn’t even get a bowl.

Is it just me or does the icon they are using for SBS in the TV guide look like a smiling minstrel when viewed up close?

the logo icons are really bad, but also in the case of SBS, out of date :stuck_out_tongue:

By 1993, SBS were using the new Mercator logo.
