Didn’t he return to Ten when they had subsequent rugby rights?

End of the line for Ten’s AFL coverage after 10 years. As an AFL fan, I was extremely disappointed following Ten’s loss of the AFL and sadly they had to. I even noticed that TEN aired its final locally produced weekend news bulletins after the Grand Final.
Nine had a big sports schedule with the Rugby WOrld Cup 2011 match between Australia and Russia and the Spring Horse Racing Carnival.

I see an ad for Fox’s short-lived action drama Terra Nova.

Quite a chockful of lineup of sports over the weekend including the AFL Grand Final Replay, the HOrse Racing Carnival and the Cycling. Unfortunately, the AFL Grand Final Replay wasn’t simulcasted on 7mate.

Includes TEN10’s midday movie, The Set, the 1970 Australian film reported to be the first Australian film to have homosexuality as a main theme. Probably a bit racy for a midday movie but I guess the kids are at school!

Quite a strong sports lineup on WIN.

They skipped the cycling for obvious reasons (not enough suitable time in the schedule to fit it in).

A heavy sports schedule on TEN with the Delhi 2010 Games. During the Delhi 2010 Games, most shows including The Circle, Neighbours, the 7PM Project, and US Shows were put on hiatus. The Delhi 2010 had a simulcast on ONE HD. Meanwhile over on WIN, they had NCIS LA at 8:30pm instead of Live Commonwealth Games.

Appears that CBN/CWN were not carrying the race. Is it due to them having blackout rules preventing the race from being aired live in the local area? (CBN was the local station in Bathurst)

Nine broadcasted the ODI ICC Super Series between Australia and World XI. Unfortunately, the MCG was unavailable and instead had to be played at Telstra Dome, Melbourne.

It was always odd/awkward when they would play at the Dome, They did an indoor series their in 2000 against South Africa as well.

Didn’t notice that they have repeats of ACA at midnight.

Maybe it was a WIN decision? WIN owned STW and NWS at the time, and made some adjustments to TCN/GTV/QTQ (Susie, late night repeat of News like the rest of the WIN Network etc.)
