The article mentioned that Skyways was the first Australian drama to use Chroma-key. It must be quite expensive to use such as a technique at the time. Before the proliferation of CGI in the 1990s, was Chroma-key commonly used in local drama production?

Number 96 tried it in the 1970s a few times when trying to emulate outdoor street scenes set outside the apartment building that were really filmed in the studio. It looked really rough by today’s standards but was probably groundbreaking back then.

It looked shit on Arrested Development just a few years ago, it only works well with scenic shots like when 24 shot in LA for D.C. or when they key different skies into shots.

10 last had the Bond rights in 2002-2004, Though they only had Dr.No through License to Kill as 7 had the rights to the first 3 Brosnan films. 10 aired the Bond films on Saturdays during the Summer from late-2002 into 2003. I still remember taping some of them.

Was before Nine picked up the rights after that?

7 got the rights to all of them about 10 years ago minus the Craig films which were acquired by 9. 7 had them for a couple of years before 9 got them around 2013/2014 who have had them since. 9 typically tends to run them all on Gem at least once a year though the Craig films get aired on regular 9 since they would likely drae a larger audience than the older ones.

What’s with the upside down olympic rings?

No idea.

Someone stuffed up or avoiding a copyright infringement? :stuck_out_tongue:

Or, given it was for the Winter Olympics, did it used to use that as its logo?

I suspect they weren’t allowed to use the rings, so hence why it’s upside down.

A one-hour drama that ran for 19 episodes.

Today’s TV: 12.7.1988, Northern Territory. Plus the full week’s programs on Imparja, and as mentioned around here not long ago, the NT edition also used to include the regional QLD channels.

Basically, the Darwin/ABC guide was 7 pages, then Imparja’s 1 page, then 7 pages of the QLD regionals. Most other editions would have 2 pages per day plus 1 end page for regionals like GLV, NBN, WIN, GWN, etc.
