And Ray Warren was a Commentator. Reportedly got the sack from Ten because he has a fear of flying and wouldn’t leave Sydney to commentate games.

Ten aired NSWRL from 1983 to 1991. It was the league which successfully applied to put the network in liquidation in 1991.

Unusual to see somebody other than Roy Hampson hosting the morning show on ATV0.

And a double header of Homicide. Was that in response to the popularity of Number 96 at the time?

I hadn’t noticed that. Murray Jones used to host the weekend morning show Building Today, so I guess maybe he was filling in for Roy taking a break.

Quite possibly.

He got the sack because I think he was host of Ten’s Olympic coverage in 1984 and refused to fly over cuz of his fear. When Rex Mossop came off contract, Ten hired him and immediately gave him the arse following the 1986 GF. Rex began his stint at Ten Sport with the 1986 Kangaroo Tour.

Flying High the TV series!

No news or 60 Minutes on WIN - guessing a mistake?

No relation to the movie :stuck_out_tongue:

Looks like a typo to miss the shows between 6 and 8.30, although WIN4 had 60 Minutes on Monday at 7.30

Adelaide was well served with locally produced music video shows in the 80s: ADS7 (and SAS7 after the channel swap) did not screen Sounds with Donnie Sutherland, instead they had Music Express and the overnight Night Shift. SAS10 had Top 40 Video, Simulrock and Trax the Music (the latter also screened in Perth on TVW7 and GWN regionals). All three shows survived for a few years after the change to Seven.

Top 40 Video was seen nationally on Seven when Jono and Dano’s Saturday Morning Live (which was not shown on SAS) took a summer break.

Wimbledon had priority over Ashes cricket on NWS9. Was it the same for the other states?
