By 2000 they used the same graphics across C7 and Seven, but C7 always got the B or C team commentators, Not sure Drew did much for them although it does seem to be the single commentator plus 2 special comments. I doubt this was the C7 match that day, would need to find the Melbourne TV guide for that day to confirm. There was a Monday night match too that round, so things may have been a bit different.

Can confirm that was the case - Melbourne vs Brisbane Lions at Docklands. For the record, Melbourne won.

Oh yes I was there, 4th row back on the outer wing, bottom level wearing a yellow jumper amongst the Melbourne members. I kinda stood out on the broadcast.

But we digress.

The arrangement ended in 2002

Wrong - ended in 2006. It was the Kangaroos arrangement that ended in 2002. They then played home games in Canberra and then the Gold Coast - both were forerunners to the Gold Coast Suns and GWS Giants entering the competition last decade.

Why was Eleven AM rated PG even though it was a current affairs show?

Probably for the same reason the other locally produced daytime talk shows were - it was live and interviews were common so it was to cover themselves language / themes wise.

I thought news didn’t need a rating, which is why The Project was classified as news when it moved to 6.30pm originally.

Rules may have been different in 1989. Or it’s a typo?

Here’s an old listing from March 1983 for RTQ and ABRQ from Rockhampton’s Morning Bulletin:

Local programming on RTQ included News & Weather bulletins, Community Billboards, Hair Care, Feminine Touch, and Shopping Spree.

Looks like the rest of the programming on RTQ came from Nine.

ABRQ also had “Regional News” at 6.55pm

it’s a very Nine-heavy line-up but there are a few token items from elsewhere, e.g. The Restless Years, Simon Townsend’s Wonder World and the US series Flamingo Road from Ten, and Shirl’s Neighbourhood from Seven. Incidentally those episodes of The Restless Years must have been quite old as the show was axed by Ten 18 months earlier!

I’m guessing TV Week made a typo with the anchors for ABC News and The 7.30 Report, listing the Sydney presenters for both. Both programs were hosted locally from Hobart following the demise of The National

Another guide from Wed 6th September 1989, again from the Rockhampton Morning Bulletin. They’ve also listed MVQ’s Guide as well as RTQ/ABRQ’s.

RTQ’s 15min News bulletin is no longer at 5.45pm and instead there’s an hour long Newswatch at 6pm. There’s a clip on YouTube of a Newswatch Update from RTQ but didn’t realise they did their own hour long bulletins?

Also a lot more Ten programming in the schedule for RTQ too (would they have been thinking about aggregation and their then likely Ten affiliation?). MVQ also looks to have a bit of programming from all 3 Metros.

I thought by March 1983 they were relaying from BTQ7 News & Sate Affair?

I’m pretty sure Newswatch was just a name for the hour of news. As this You Tube video shows, the local news at 6pm then most probaly QTQ9 News on delay at 6.30pm. By 1990, the music had changed and was an affiliate of TEN taking Ten Evening News on the first day.

Not sure as it’s a bit before my time (I was born in 83 so only really remember well from 89/90 onwards). I have seen a BTQ promo from 86/87 on YT (possibly one of yours) that listed RTQ as a relay station for 7 National News/State Affair but don’t know when that arrangement would have started. If I come across any other TV listings in this FB group of CQ History I’ll post them and we can maybe narrow it down more.
