Geez, I almost forgot how desperate Nine were for ratings during the 2nd half of 2008 - replaying Australia’s Naughtiest Home Videos AND having Pamela Anderson as a guest star on The NRL Footy Show on the same night!

Loved that watermark even though it lasted only 12 months
Personally, I think Nine’s best ever watermark was their first one in the Early 2000s. Similar deal with most other networks.

I’m a bit of a fan of this package. I used to have a free DVD of full episodes that came with a TV Week issue from that year (image below), and when I was young I was unaware of the short-lived Choose Nine package.

The one pre-2006 was a bit too fuzzy for my liking, although absolutely fine for its time considering where technology was up to at the time. Technology has improved over time enabling better quality watermarks.

I do like Nine’s watermark and the 2008 look. A shame it only lasted 12 months before the discs became dots until September 2009.

Perth had a dot-less 9 from 2008 to 2010 as STW was O&O’ed by WIN Corp which at that time was a Nine Network affiliate
